The Kimble Lab has a set of vacuum notes on UHV systems. The original notes, written by Kevin Birnbaum and last updated in June of 2005, are here in pdf. (Source here in LaTeX.) A revised, more current version is available here; complaints should be addressed to Tracy Northup, who is supposed to be keeping it updated.
