Heat is the transfer of thermal energy between bodies at different temperature. This thermal energy flows from regions of high temperature to regions of low temperature. When two bodies of different temperature come into contact with one another, they will exchange thermal energy until their temperatures equilibrate.

Heat is also the name of a movie.
