Preparing a Circuit for Outside Fab
From Qwiki
While the Circuit Mill is great for all sorts of prototyping, it is unwieldy for making more than a few of any one board. Outside companies can make small volumes at competitive pricing. Sierra Proto Express will make two layer boards for $35/board for quantities greater than three. For only slightly more they will make four layer boards. However, to get the low price, it is necessary to submit the boards through an automated system which does nothing more than a cursory check that the board is valid. Consequently, it is necessary to take a number of steps to ensure that the board will be produced correctly. It is easiest to keep the final goal in mind from the beginning of the PCB layout. This article will be a brief and necessarily incomplete discussion of what I did when preparing a board to be sent out.
