Yeah, Anthony Miller and I decided to change that template slightly, then he ran a PHP script to change the user pages with that template accordingly. It would have taken too much time manually. The changes to the user pages were very minor, no information was deleted, it was just shuffled a little. This was our first test run with scripting and we will soon change the other templates similarly. Although with Author_S2LN there are so few people using it that editing the user pages manually would probably be easier than a script. --John Stockton 09:08, 7 Oct 2005 (PDT)

To change my user name

Hi Alejandro, it's a little complicated but I think the best strategy is to make yourself a new user name (with your full name) and have both user pages re-direct to your author profile. This way it's never ambiguous who made the contributions and we don't have to go back and change your name on all the pages you edited. We're most concerned with users being identifiable so really the redirects are more important than the names. Another alternative is to leave it as is and legally change your name to Janus (with no last name)... kind of like Cher :) --John Stockton 09:58, 4 Nov 2005 (PST)
